You could sponsor a full-school implementation at your child's school, your neighborhood school, or one of the many underserved schools in cities across the country that want VTS, but are unable to afford it. We work hard to secure grants and support for any school that wants VTS but is too under-funded or over-burdened to support the program. However, significant grant support is difficult to obtain and our own resources are finite.Depending on the size of the school, a $15,000-$30,000 pledge over three years could support a VTS School-Wide Implementation in a deserving school in your neighborhood or one of the underserved communities we already work in. Every teacher would receive three years of professional development and curriculum materials, and every student would receive a lifetime of more effective learning thanks to your generous gift.
Email us, about how to sponsor a school in need.
VTS has been implemented in hundreds of schools and museums across the country and abroad. With staff and partners scaling-up programs in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Boston, Miami, Chicago, San Antonio, Minneapolis and beyond, VTS is reaching more students and teachers every day. With new curricula in development and significantly expanded web resources VTS is able to serve a greater breadth and depth of educators and students today and for years to come.
Email us, if you'd like to advance a program.
Unlike the large educational materials companies or the high-profile national non-profits, we do not have a large marketing budget or extensive access at the highest levels of the education system. We rely heavily on the grassroots interest and efforts of individuals like you to get us a seat at the table. Our experience has demonstrated when the right people – teachers and principals, foundation officers or thoughtful individuals – have the chance to experience VTS first-hand, ask questions of our expert staff, or see the enthusiasm with which students and teachers embrace and excel at VTS, we succeed. Our challenge is reaching those people. That is where you come in.
- Dedicated Teachers
Teachers love VTS. In a world of high-stakes test prep, under-stimulated students, and over-burdened schedules teachers welcome a teaching strategy that engages every student, develops a wide range of important thinking skills, and does so in about 10 lessons a year.
- Decision-Makers
Depending on the district, state or individual school this person could hold any number of titles. Chances are, no matter what the title or institution, they have an interest in seeing their students performing better, but maybe don't have a lot of money. If you can get us their ear, we will do the rest.
- Corporate & Foundation Officers & Staff
Chances are you know more of these people than you think. Most corporations have employee-directed giving programs that go untapped. Foundations officers are always interested in a better way to allocate their limited resources. Corporations are beginning to understand that if we don't develop the kind of creative and critical thinking skills in our students of today we will be left behind in the economies of tomorrow. Take a minute and think about the people you know and consider how you might get them engage in our ambitious mission.
- Visionary Individuals & Families
Nothing has been more critical to bringing VTS to the point where it is today than the amazing generosity and support provide by individual and family giving over the last 15 years.
With the mantle set by our co-founders and carried on by our board and staff, VTS has a way of attracting some of the most dedicated people our society has to offer. Do you know one of these people? Should they know about us?
