DESCRIPTION:\nThe VTS Beginner Practicum is designed to help educators — even those with no background in the arts — lead discussions about art. This course introduces practical, evidence-based facilitation techniques that foster inclusive, student-centered learning.\nIn a small peer group, you’ll take part in image discussions, guided exercises, reflection, group dialogue, selected readings, and live facilitation practice with individualized coaching. You’ll also explore the research that underpins the VTS method.\nThe VTS Beginner Practicum Online welcomes newcomers and those with limited experience. Come join us!\nThis is a live, interactive online course, held via Zoom. Sessions incorporate slide decks, our online image curriculum, and shared Google pages. Access details and course materials will be emailed two weeks before the first session.\nParticipants must be able to attend all meetings to complete this course. In addition to class meetings, participants should plan to complete assigned readings and reflections between each class. This course is scheduled in Pacific time zone. Please check your personal time zone alignment before registering.\n\n*Course must meet the minimum enrollment requirement in order to run. Additionally, all registrations are received on a first come first serve basis.
