Ashley Mask is a doctoral candidate in Art and Art Education at Columbia University, Teachers College. She also works as a freelance educator in several NYC museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Brooklyn Museum. Her doctoral research focuses on the experiences of novice art museum educators. Previously, Ashley was the Education Director and Manager of Visitor Experience and Access Programs at the Rubin Museum of Art in New York City from 2009-2013, where she incorporated VTS into staff training and facilitation for visitors in the museum.
