Melissa Tran (she/her) is an artist, educator, and museum professional originating from New Orleans, Louisiana. She is currently living and working in Long Beach, California as the Education Program Coordinator at the Museum of Latin American Art.  Melissa has worked professionally with a number of art institutions including the Museum of Contemporary Art (Los Angeles), Dallas Contemporary and the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, and as the Artist in Residence at the Crow Collection of Asian Art. She has attended residencies internationally, in the Arctic Circle and Dijon, France and has exhibited at Le Consortium, the Texas Biennial, Ballroom Marfa, Diverse Works Artspace, and the Blaffer Museum, amongst others. Tran received her MFA in Interdisciplinary Studio Art from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and her BFA in Photography / Digital Media from the University of Houston.
