Robyn leverages more than 30 years of professional experience as an artist, arts educator and business executive in service to advance the mission and vision of Visual Thinking Strategies.  A trusted advisor and arts advocate, she has served on the board of directors of the Museum of Children’s Art (MOCHA) in Oakland, California and on the board of the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art.  Seasoned in bridging the gap between creative and business objectives, Robyn also co-created, owned and served as CFO of an award winning general contracting firm in Oakland, Creative Spaces.  Her company led the charge in creating a network of generous resources to aid the east bay community in the rebuilding efforts after the 1991 fires.

Robyn joined VTS in 2006 and initiated an effort to implement VTS in the Sonoma and Napa county schools, forging relationships at more than 25 schools and led an alliance between the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art and Sonoma Unified School District.  A seasoned VTS trainer, she delivers programs to museum educators as well as school teachers.  Robyn credits her creativity and commitment to student-centered education to her tenure at California College of the Arts in Oakland and post graduate studies at Osaka University of the Arts in Japan.  Her studies led to a BFA with distinction from CCA and an MA in Education from Sonoma State University.  Continuing with her textile work, Robyn is based in Glen Ellen, California.
