Mirka Jablonski (she/her) is a VTS Trainer and Coach and is an artist and educator based in Oregon. Mirka has been deeply engaged in her VTS practice since 2009, and joined the VTS team in 2013. VTS not only shifted her understanding of constructivist learning, but connected theory and research to application. Mirka is also a founding partner at Upper Left Projects, developing and facilitating programs and experiences for groups around the Pacific Northwest. Mirka relies on the Design Thinking process to build curriculum, image sets, and audience-centered experiences. She values and practices the careful listening, collaborative thinking, and thoughtful reflection necessary to create authentic, inclusive and engaging environments. Mirka comes to this work after years as a Portland Public Schools librarian. Her background also includes being part of the Nike team, and a member of the Education Department at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. She studied at Purdue University, American University, and the University of Minnesota.
