Amy Chase Gulden (she/her) joined VTS in 2006 as the Regional Director for New York starting her path as a trainer and building partnerships with public schools and cultural organizations in the city. As a seasoned VTS trainer, she continues to be very engaged in national/international training and consulting. She is particularly interested in supporting teacher-driven inquiry around the learning stimulated by VTS. Prior to joining VTS she was director of Studio in a School’s flagship Long Term visual-arts residency program, and for the past 20 years has consulted on arts-education program design, assessment and evaluation for numerous federal- and state–funded projects. Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts in art history, a Master of Education in arts and education program development and evaluation, and a Master of Arts in English literature. She is an artist and lives in New York City.
